Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In August 2021 Bonhams in Sydney / Melbourne held the auction Important Australian Art, which included this untitled work by Timothy Johnson. Here, the upper estimate of AUD 1,200.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for AUD 1,230.00 (€ 1,042.37). Admittedly, works by Timothy Johnson have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Nosepeg in Sydney, 1987 in November 2021 with an auction result of AUD 11,070.00 (€ 9,807.74).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im August 2021 führte Bonhams in Sydney / Melbourne die Auktion Important Australian Art durch, in der auch diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Timothy Johnson zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von AUD 1.200,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für AUD 1.230,00 (€ 1.042,37) einen neuen Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Timothy Johnson auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Nosepeg in Sydney, 1987 im November 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von AUD 11.070,00 (€ 9.807,74).
