The work PARRAPI, 1985 by Timmy Payungka Tjapangati was sold in the Aboriginal Art auction at Sothebys in New York in December 2020. The price achieved of USD 8,190.00 (€ 6,696.65) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 7,000.00 – 10,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, PARRAPI, 1985 is the most expensive artwork by Timmy Payungka Tjapangati that we have observed at auctions so far.
