Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Barra Suite No.4 by Tim Threlfall was auctioned at Sothebys in London in March 2008. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 2,000.00 – 3,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 2,250.00 (€ 2,826.56) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Tim Threlfall - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work In Memory Of Adrian Heath, which sold at auction in March 2008 for GBP 6,750.00 (€ 8,479.67).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Barra Suite No.4 von Tim Threlfall kam im März 2008 bei Sothebys in London zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 2.000,00 – 3.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 2.250,00 (€ 2.826,56) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Für andere Arbeiten von Tim Threlfall mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit In Memory Of Adrian Heath beobachtet, die im März 2008 für GBP 6.750,00 (€ 8.479,67) versteigert wurde.
