A top price for Tilo Baumgärtel
In October 2007 Phillips in London held the auction Contemporary Art Evening Sale, which included the work The Fencing Lesson by Tilo Baumgärtel. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 54,000.00 (€ 77,547.55), 54% above the upper estimate. This high result makes The Fencing Lesson the most expensive artwork by Tilo Baumgärtel that we have observed at auctions so far.

Im Oktober 2007 führte Phillips in London die Auktion Contemporary Art Evening Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit The Fencing Lesson von Tilo Baumgärtel zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 54.000,00 (€ 77.547,55) und damit 54% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieses hohe Ergebnis macht The Fencing Lesson zu dem teuersten Kunstwerk von Tilo Baumgärtel, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
