Auction result well in line with expectations
The work A group portrait in an interior: Cornelis van den Broek, his wife Lucia Cornelia Allard and their son Cornelis van den Broek by Tibout Regters was auctioned at Christies in New York in May 2015. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of EUR 1,800.00 – 2,500.00, the actual price achieved of EUR 1,875.00 could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Tibout Regters have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work A lady and a gentleman in an interior in April 2002 with an auction result of GBP 7,170.00 (€ 11,600.87).
