Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Thorsten Kirchhoff could be acquired at Sothebys in Milan in May 2008 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Modern & Contemporary Art auction, the work Autoritratto changed hands for EUR 2,750.00 - missing the lower end of the estimate range of EUR 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Thorsten Kirchhoff - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Goodwill, which sold at auction in May 2010 for EUR 7,500.00.
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Thorsten Kirchhoff konnte im Mai 2008 bei Sothebys in Mailand für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Modern & Contemporary Art wechselte die Arbeit Autoritratto für EUR 2.750,00 den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von EUR 4.000,00 – 6.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Thorsten Kirchhoff mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Goodwill beobachtet, die im Mai 2010 für EUR 7.500,00 versteigert wurde.
