The work "Midnattsol Lofoten" (Midnight sun in Lofoten) by Thorolf Holmboe was auctioned at Bukowski in Stockholm in December 2013. Here, the upper estimate of SEK 25,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for SEK 28,000.00 (€ 3,161.91). Admittedly, works by Thorolf Holmboe have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work A young girl preparing the table for tea in the garden in March 2002 with an auction result of GBP 10,575.00 (€ 17,287.34).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit "Midnattsol Lofoten" (Midnight sun in Lofoten) von Thorolf Holmboe kam im Dezember 2013 bei Bukowski in Stockholm zur Auktion. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von SEK 25.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für SEK 28.000,00 (€ 3.161,91) einen neuen Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Thorolf Holmboe auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit A young girl preparing the table for tea in the garden im März 2002 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 10.575,00 (€ 17.287,34).
