In November 2002 Christies in Melbourne held the auction AUSTRALIAN, INTERNATIONAL AND CONTEMPORARY PAINTINGS, which included the work Portrait of a Lady by Thomas (Tom) William Roberts. The »bidding war« ended at AUD 25,850.00 (€ 14,577.71), 44% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Thomas (Tom) William Roberts achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Portrait Of Louis Abrahams in September 2015 with an auction result of GBP 314,500.00 (€ 425,907.72).

Im November 2002 führte Christies in Melbourne die Auktion AUSTRALIAN, INTERNATIONAL AND CONTEMPORARY PAINTINGS durch, in der auch die Arbeit Portrait of a Lady von Thomas (Tom) William Roberts zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von AUD 25.850,00 (€ 14.577,71) und damit 44% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Thomas (Tom) William Roberts erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Portrait Of Louis Abrahams im September 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 314.500,00 (€ 425.907,72).
