Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Sketch by Thomas Sherlock Hodgson was auctioned at Sothebys in Toronto in May 2012. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of CAD 8,000.00 – 12,000.00, the actual price achieved of CAD 9,000.00 (€ 7,033.16) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Other works by Thomas Sherlock Hodgson have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in November 2010 the work Sketch was auctioned for CAD 10,800.00 (€ 8,069.35).
