Auction result well in line with expectations
The work All Hands To The Pump by Thomas Rose Miles was sold in the British and Continental Pictures including Marine pictures auction at Sothebys in Olympia in November 2006. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 1,200.00 – 1,800.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 1,320.00 (€ 1,960.24) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Thomas Rose Miles achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Weed gatherers, West coast of Ireland; and Morning of the Fair, Roundstone Quay, Connemara in May 2007 with an auction result of GBP 36,000.00 (€ 52,976.44).

Die Arbeit All Hands To The Pump von Thomas Rose Miles wurde im November 2006 in der Auktion British and Continental Pictures including Marine pictures bei Sothebys in Olympia versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 1.200,00 – 1.800,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 1.320,00 (€ 1.960,24) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen.
