Auction result well in line with expectations
In March 2004 Christies in London held the auction AT HOME - BRITISH AND CONTINENTAL PICTURES AND WORKS OF ART, which included the work 'A Coming storm', Ebb-tide on the Goodwin Sands by Thomas Rose Miles. The price achieved of GBP 657.25 (€ 983.84) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 500.00 – 800.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Thomas Rose Miles achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Weed gatherers, West coast of Ireland; and Morning of the Fair, Roundstone Quay, Connemara in May 2007 with an auction result of GBP 36,000.00 (€ 52,976.44).

Im März 2004 führte Christies in London die Auktion AT HOME - BRITISH AND CONTINENTAL PICTURES AND WORKS OF ART durch, in der auch die Arbeit 'A Coming storm', Ebb-tide on the Goodwin Sands von Thomas Rose Miles zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 657,25 (€ 983,84) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 500,00 – 800,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Thomas Rose Miles erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Weed gatherers, West coast of Ireland; and Morning of the Fair, Roundstone Quay, Connemara im Mai 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 36.000,00 (€ 52.976,44).
