Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In November 2010 Christies in London held the auction Christie's Interiors, which included the work Elegant figures taking a stroll in the grounds of a country estate by Thomas Malton, Jun.. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 800.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 875.00 (€ 1,045.62). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Thomas Malton, Jun. achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Banqueting House And The Privy Garden, Whitehall, London in November 2005 with an auction result of GBP 9,000.00 (€ 13,222.14).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im November 2010 führte Christies in London die Auktion Christie's Interiors durch, in der auch die Arbeit Elegant figures taking a stroll in the grounds of a country estate von Thomas Malton, Jun. zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 800,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 875,00 (€ 1.045,62) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Thomas Malton, Jun. erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Banqueting House And The Privy Garden, Whitehall, London im November 2005 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 9.000,00 (€ 13.222,14).
