Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Bristol Fighters by Thomas Maclay Hoyne was sold in the American Art Online auction at Bonhams in Los Angeles in August this year. Here, the upper estimate of USD 3,500.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 3,520.00 (€ 3,247.53). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Thomas Maclay Hoyne achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Puritan of Gloucester in January 2007 with an auction result of USD 55,200.00 (€ 42,468.07).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Bristol Fighters von Thomas Maclay Hoyne wurde im August diesen Jahres in der Auktion American Art Online bei Bonhams in Los Angeles versteigert. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 3.500,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 3.520,00 (€ 3.247,53) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Thomas Maclay Hoyne erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Puritan of Gloucester im Januar 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 55.200,00 (€ 42.468,07).
