In October 2013 Christies in New York held the auction The Art of Collecting: Three Private Collections, which included the work Portrait Of Elizabeth Dunch, Later Lady Oxenden, Three-Quarter-Length, Wearing A Blue Dress And Black Hat And Holding A White Feather Plume, Standing In A Landscape by Thomas Hudson. The »bidding war« ended at USD 10,000.00 (€ 7,356.19), 25% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Thomas Hudson achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Portrait of John and Robert, sons of Robert Ker, 2nd Duke of Roxburghe, in van Dyck costume with their two dogs, an extensive landscape beyond in October 2020 with an auction result of USD 450,000.00 (€ 386,365.59).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 25 % übertroffen
Im Oktober 2013 führte Christies in New York die Auktion The Art of Collecting: Three Private Collections durch, in der auch die Arbeit Portrait Of Elizabeth Dunch, Later Lady Oxenden, Three-Quarter-Length, Wearing A Blue Dress And Black Hat And Holding A White Feather Plume, Standing In A Landscape von Thomas Hudson zur Versteigerung kam. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Portrait of John and Robert, sons of Robert Ker, 2nd Duke of Roxburghe, in van Dyck costume with their two dogs, an extensive landscape beyond im Oktober 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 450.000,00 (€ 386.365,59).
