Auction result well in line with expectations
In December 2018 Christies in London held the auction Old Masters Day Sale, which included the work Portrait of a lady, three-quarter-length, seated by a table in a oyster satin gown and blue mantle by Thomas Hudson. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 8,000.00 – 12,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 8,125.00 (€ 9,051.97) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Thomas Hudson achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Portrait of John and Robert, sons of Robert Ker, 2nd Duke of Roxburghe, in van Dyck costume with their two dogs, an extensive landscape beyond in October 2020 with an auction result of USD 450,000.00 (€ 386,365.59).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Dezember 2018 führte Christies in London die Auktion Old Masters Day Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit Portrait of a lady, three-quarter-length, seated by a table in a oyster satin gown and blue mantle von Thomas Hudson zur Versteigerung kam. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Portrait of John and Robert, sons of Robert Ker, 2nd Duke of Roxburghe, in van Dyck costume with their two dogs, an extensive landscape beyond im Oktober 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 450.000,00 (€ 386.365,59).
