Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Study for Brother by Thomas Houseago was sold in the 20th/21st Century: Amsterdam auction at Christies in Amsterdam in November last year. The price achieved of EUR 37,800.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 30,000.00 – 50,000.00. Admittedly, works by Thomas Houseago have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Quake mask in June 2019 with an auction result of EUR 225,000.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Study for Brother von Thomas Houseago wurde im November letzten Jahres in der Auktion 20th/21st Century: Amsterdam bei Christies in Amsterdam versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 37.800,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 30.000,00 – 50.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Thomas Houseago auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Quake mask im Juni 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 225.000,00.
