Chicago, Illinois, USA“. by Thomas Hoepker was sold in the Herbst 2019 - ORANGERIE Große Tiere auction at Grisebach in November 2019. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of EUR 3,000.00 – 5,000.00, the actual price achieved of EUR 3,375.00 could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Thomas Hoepker have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Muhammad Ali showing off his right Fist, Chicago, 1966. Original-Photographie. in December 2016 with an auction result of CHF 20,900.00 (€ 19,493.73).

Die Arbeit „Muhammad Ali on a bridge overlooking the Chicago River and the city's skyline. Chicago, Illinois, USA“. von Thomas Hoepker wurde im November 2019 in der Auktion Herbst 2019 - ORANGERIE Große Tiere bei Grisebach versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 3.000,00 – 5.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von EUR 3.375,00 konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Thomas Hoepker auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Muhammad Ali showing off his right Fist, Chicago, 1966.
