Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Andy Warhol, New York by Thomas Hoepker was sold in the Dance of Death auction at Bonhams in Skinner Marlborough, Massachusetts in November this year. The price achieved of USD 4,608.00 (€ 4,224.42) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. Admittedly, works by Thomas Hoepker have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Muhammad Ali showing off his right Fist, Chicago, 1966. Original-Photographie. in December 2016 with an auction result of CHF 20,900.00 (€ 19,493.73).

Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 4.608,00 (€ 4.224,42) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 4.000,00 – 6.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Thomas Hoepker auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Muhammad Ali showing off his right Fist, Chicago, 1966.
