Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%

This artwork by Thomas Hirschhorn achieved an unexpectedly high price at Phillips in an online auction in February 2019. In the Handle With Care auction, the work Sans titre (Series Adhesive Noir) sold for USD 10,625.00 (€ 9,337.38) - well above the upper estimate of USD 5,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Thomas Hirschhorn achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Abstrait Relief No. 548 (Nietzche) in October 2006 with an auction result of GBP 84,000.00 (€ 125,503.48).

Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen

Dieses Kunstwerk von Thomas Hirschhorn erzielte im Februar 2019 bei Phillips in einer Online-Auktion einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Handle With Care wurde die Arbeit Sans titre (Series Adhesive Noir) für USD 10.625,00 (€ 9.337,38) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 5.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Thomas Hirschhorn erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Abstrait Relief No. 548 (Nietzche) im Oktober 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 84.000,00 (€ 125.503,48).
