Auction result well in line with expectations
The work In the Forum, Rome (illustrated); and The Arch of Titus, Rome by Thomas Hartley Cromek was auctioned at Christies in London in October 2005. It changed hands for a price of GBP 1,140.00 (€ 1,681.16) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 800.00 – 1,200.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Thomas Hartley Cromek achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Artist'S Wife Admiring The Skyline Of Florence With The Bargello, Badia, Forte Belvedere, Palazzo Vecchio, Duomo And Campanile, From A Roof Terrace On The Via Dei Servi in December 2007 with an auction result of GBP 14,900.00 (€ 20,246.57).
