In November 2007 Christies in London held the auction The Gordon Collection of Portrait Miniatures, which included the work Sir Geoffrey Palmer (1598-1670), Bt., Attorney General, in black robes, white lawn collar, black skull cap, long curling fair hair, moustache; pillar and sky background by Thomas Flatman. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 19,700.00 (€ 27,585.10), 64% above the upper estimate. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Thomas Flatman; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot A gentleman facing right, in black cloak and lace cravat, full bottomed curling wig; sky and landscape background sold at auction in November 2000 with the realized price of GBP 23,500.00 (€ 38,409.82).

Im November 2007 führte Christies in London die Auktion The Gordon Collection of Portrait Miniatures durch, in der auch die Arbeit Sir Geoffrey Palmer (1598-1670), Bt., Attorney General, in black robes, white lawn collar, black skull cap, long curling fair hair, moustache; pillar and sky background von Thomas Flatman zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 19.700,00 (€ 27.585,10) und damit 64% über dem oberen Schätzpreis.
