In February 2007 Christies in New York held the auction The House Sale, which included the work Oliver Goldsmith reading a novel to Miss Horneck "the Jessamy Bride" and her sister by Thomas Falcon Marshall. The »bidding war« ended at USD 4,800.00 (€ 3,628.12), 60% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Thomas Falcon Marshall have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Tibbie Inglis, the shepherd's daughter in March last year with an auction result of GBP 15,250.00 (€ 18,080.59).

Im Februar 2007 führte Christies in New York die Auktion The House Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit Oliver Goldsmith reading a novel to Miss Horneck "the Jessamy Bride" and her sister von Thomas Falcon Marshall zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 4.800,00 (€ 3.628,12) und damit 60% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Thomas Falcon Marshall auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Tibbie Inglis, the shepherd's daughter im März letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 15.250,00 (€ 18.080,59).
