In the Christie's Interiors auction, the work Sunset over Rome sold for USD 26,250.00 (€ 20,698.63) - well above the upper estimate of USD 9,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Thomas Dessoulavy; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot A View Of The Bay Of Naples, Figures Resting By A Path In The Foreground And Mount Vesuvius In The Distance; A Panorama Of Rome From The Tomb Of Cecilia Metella On The Via Appia sold at auction in April 2015 with the realized price of GBP 18,750.00 (€ 25,748.07).
