Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work The road across the moor by Thomas Collier was sold in the British and Continental Watercolours including Original auction at Christies in London in July 2004. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 350.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 358.50 (€ 541.77). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Thomas Collier - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Going home, which sold at auction in July 2003 for GBP 1,351.25 (€ 1,766.17).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit The road across the moor von Thomas Collier wurde im Juli 2004 in der Auktion British and Continental Watercolours including Original bei Christies in London versteigert. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 350,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 358,50 (€ 541,77) einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Thomas Collier mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Going home beobachtet, die im Juli 2003 für GBP 1.351,25 (€ 1.766,17) versteigert wurde.
