A top price for Thomas C. S. Benham - as previously expected

The work Poachers by Thomas C. S. Benham was sold in the British and Victorian Paintings auction at Christies in London in November 2005. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 2,000.00 – 3,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 2,160.00 (€ 3,173.31) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Poachers is the most expensive artwork by Thomas C. S. Benham that we have observed at auctions so far.

Die Arbeit Poachers von Thomas C. S. Benham wurde im November 2005 in der Auktion British and Victorian Paintings bei Christies in London versteigert.
