The »bidding war« ended at GBP 963.50 (€ 1,508.85), 61% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Thomas C. S. Benham - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Poachers, which sold at auction in November 2005 for GBP 2,160.00 (€ 3,173.31).

Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 963,50 (€ 1.508,85) und damit 61% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Thomas C. S. Benham mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Poachers beobachtet, die im November 2005 für GBP 2.160,00 (€ 3.173,31) versteigert wurde.
