It achieved a price of GBP 2,250.00 (€ 2,626.64), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 50%. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Thomas Bush Hardy achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Margate Harbor in July 2002 with an auction result of USD 28,680.00 (€ 29,277.26).

Die Arbeit A pilot tug towing a three-master out of the harbour at Calais von Thomas Bush Hardy kam im November 2011 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von GBP 2.250,00 (€ 2.626,64) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 50%. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Thomas Bush Hardy erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Margate Harbor im Juli 2002 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 28.680,00 (€ 29.277,26).
