Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In September 2005 Christies in New York held the auction THE HOUSE SALE, which included the work Cattle on a country road by Thomas Bigelow Craig. Here, the upper estimate of USD 3,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 3,360.00 (€ 2,786.53). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Thomas Bigelow Craig - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work A horse drawn cart with figures at the village toll gate, which sold at auction in September 2005 for USD 10,200.00 (€ 8,459.11).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im September 2005 führte Christies in New York die Auktion THE HOUSE SALE durch, in der auch die Arbeit Cattle on a country road von Thomas Bigelow Craig zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 3.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 3.360,00 (€ 2.786,53) einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Thomas Bigelow Craig mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit A horse drawn cart with figures at the village toll gate beobachtet, die im September 2005 für USD 10.200,00 (€ 8.459,11) versteigert wurde.
