A top price for Thomas Baker of Leamington - as previously expected
In February 2013 Sothebys in New York held the auction Old Master and 19th Century European Paintings and Drawings, including Property from the Estate of Giancarlo Baroni, which included the work Monsale Dale, Derbyshire by Thomas Baker of Leamington. The price achieved of USD 10,000.00 (€ 7,645.84) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 8,000.00 – 12,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Monsale Dale, Derbyshire is the most expensive artwork by Thomas Baker of Leamington that we have observed at auctions so far.
