In the Christie's Interiors auction, the work Fishing at sunset, Offchurch Warwickshire, tondo sold for GBP 1,187.50 (€ 1,336.73) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 600.00. Admittedly, works by Thomas Baker of Leamington have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Monsale Dale, Derbyshire in February 2013 with an auction result of USD 10,000.00 (€ 7,645.84).
