Auction result well in line with expectations

However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Thomas Allen - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work The Flotilla Carrying Princess Charlotte To England For Her Marriage To King George III, 1761, which sold at auction in November 2004 for GBP 38,240.00 (€ 55,008.03).
