Auction result well in line with expectations
In July 2019 Sothebys in London held the auction 19th Century European Paintings, which included the work The Seven Rabbis In Jerusalem by Théodore Jacques Ralli. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 80,000.00 – 120,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 81,250.00 (€ 89,207.10) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Théodore Jacques Ralli achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Greek The Captive (Turkish Plunder) in November 2007 with an auction result of GBP 737,300.00 (€ 1,032,410.75).
