In May 2016 Sothebys in London held the auction 19th Century European Paintings, which included the work Greek reading Rabbi by Théodore Jacques Ralli. The result of GBP 10,000.00 (€ 13,048.94) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 10,000.00 – 15,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Théodore Jacques Ralli achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Greek The Captive (Turkish Plunder) in November 2007 with an auction result of GBP 737,300.00 (€ 1,032,410.75).
Zuschlag beim unteren Schätzpreis
Im Mai 2016 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion 19th Century European Paintings durch, in der auch die Arbeit Greek reading Rabbi von Théodore Jacques Ralli zur Versteigerung kam. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von GBP 10.000,00 (€ 13.048,94) entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 10.000,00 – 15.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Théodore Jacques Ralli erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Greek The Captive (Turkish Plunder) im November 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 737.300,00 (€ 1.032.410,75).
