Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In December 2008 Christies in New York held the auction Important American Paintings, Drawings and Sculpture, which included the work Study for "Forty-Second Street" by Theodore Roszak. Here, the upper estimate of USD 50,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 52,500.00 (€ 37,718.23). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Theodore Roszak - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Study for "Forty-Second Street", which sold at auction in November 2021 for USD 126,000.00 (€ 111,632.85).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Dezember 2008 führte Christies in New York die Auktion Important American Paintings, Drawings and Sculpture durch, in der auch die Arbeit Study for "Forty-Second Street" von Theodore Roszak zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 50.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 52.500,00 (€ 37.718,23) einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Theodore Roszak mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Study for "Forty-Second Street" beobachtet, die im November 2021 für USD 126.000,00 (€ 111.632,85) versteigert wurde.
