Sold at the upper estimate price
In May 2018 Christies in London held the auction Modern Edition Online, which included the work Anemonies: Three plates by Theodore Roussel. The auction ended at the price of GBP 1,500.00 (€ 1,708.10), which exactly corresponded to the upper end of the estimated price range of GBP 1,000.00 – 1,500.00. Admittedly, works by Theodore Roussel have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Portraits Of Dorothy, Countess Of Leicester (1598-1659); Lady Anne Rich (1612-1638); Anne, Countess Of Middlesex (D.1670); And Mary Kirk (1646-1711) in July 2011 with an auction result of GBP 11,875.00 (€ 13,628.34).
