Auction result well in line with expectations

The price achieved of GBP 1,875.00 (€ 2,309.81) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 1,500.00 – 2,500.00. Admittedly, works by Theodor Alexander Weber have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Ships entering a Port in a Storm in October 2006 with an auction result of USD 16,800.00 (€ 13,152.74).

Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 1.875,00 (€ 2.309,81) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 1.500,00 – 2.500,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Theodor Alexander Weber auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Ships entering a Port in a Storm im Oktober 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 16.800,00 (€ 13.152,74).
