Auction result misses estimated price range
In December this year a collector was able to acquire the work “Kvæg ved Saltholm strand” by Theodor Philipsen for DKK 20,000.00 (€ 2,683.06). This price was achieved in the auction Paintings and drawings at Bruun Rasmussen and was even below the estimate range of DKK 25,000.00 – 30,000.00 set by the auction house. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Theodor Philipsen - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work “Ved Hindsgavl, which sold at auction in January 2024 for DKK 7,500.00 (€ 6,554.80).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Dezember diesen Jahres konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit “Kvæg ved Saltholm strand” von Theodor Philipsen für DKK 20.000,00 (€ 2.683,06) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Paintings and drawings bei Bruun Rasmussen erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von DKK 25.000,00 – 30.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Theodor Philipsen mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit “Ved Hindsgavl beobachtet, die im Januar 2024 für DKK 7.500,00 (€ 6.554,80) versteigert wurde.
