In December 2011 a collector was able to acquire the work A Capriccio View With A Footbridge Over A River, A Large Cathedral In The Background by The Pseudo Battaglioli for GBP 16,250.00 (€ 19,461.67). This price was achieved in the auction Old Master and British Paintings Day Sale at Sothebys in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 20,000.00 – 30,000.00 set by the auction house. Despite this disappointing result, A Capriccio View With A Footbridge Over A River, A Large Cathedral In The Background is the most expensive artwork by The Pseudo Battaglioli that we have observed at auction so far.
