In the Old Master Paintings and British Paintings auction, the work Portrait Of An Old Lady, Head And Shoulders sold for GBP 39,650.00 (€ 45,629.39) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 15,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by The Monogrammist IS achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Portrait Of An Elderly Woman, Looking Left in December 2010 with an auction result of GBP 577,250.00 (€ 669,608.26).
