This artwork by The Monogrammist IS achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in London in April 2010. In the Old Master Paintings and British Paintings auction, the work Portrait Of An Old Lady, Head And Shoulders sold for GBP 39,650.00 (€ 45,629.39) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 15,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by The Monogrammist IS achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Portrait Of An Elderly Woman, Looking Left in December 2010 with an auction result of GBP 577,250.00 (€ 669,608.26).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von The Monogrammist IS erzielte im April 2010 bei Sothebys in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Old Master Paintings and British Paintings wurde die Arbeit Portrait Of An Old Lady, Head And Shoulders für GBP 39.650,00 (€ 45.629,39) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 15.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von The Monogrammist IS erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Portrait Of An Elderly Woman, Looking Left im Dezember 2010 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 577.250,00 (€ 669.608,26).
