However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by The Master of the Magdalene Legend - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work A triptych: central panel: The Virgin and Child with Saint Francis of Assisi; the wings: Saints Jerome and Gregory the Great with a donor, and Saint Catherine with a donatrix; the outer faces: The Adoration of the Magi in a sculpted niche, en grisail, which sold at auction in July 2011 for GBP 301,250.0
