Upper estimated price slightly exceeded

It achieved a price of GBP 37,250.00 (€ 42,749.95), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 24%. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by The Master of the 1540s - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Portrait of a bearded man, half-length, in a black coat, holding gloves, which sold at auction in October 2007 for USD 181,000.00 (€ 125,103.68).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen

Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von GBP 37.250,00 (€ 42.749,95) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 24%. Für andere Arbeiten von The Master of the 1540s mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Portrait of a bearded man, half-length, in a black coat, holding gloves beobachtet, die im Oktober 2007 für USD 181.000,00 (€ 125.103,68) versteigert wurde.
