Auction result well in line with expectations
In December 2005 Christies in London held the auction IMPORTANT OLD MASTER PICTURES, which included the work The Virgin of the Immaculate Conception with Saint Mark and Saint Sebastian by The Master of Grossgmain. The price achieved of GBP 176,000.00 (€ 255,454.15) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 150,000.00 – 250,000.00. Other works by The Master of Grossgmain have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in July 2014 the work The Virgin of the Immaculate Conception with Saints Mark and Sebastian was auctioned for GBP 242,500.00 (€ 305,868.75).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Dezember 2005 führte Christies in London die Auktion IMPORTANT OLD MASTER PICTURES durch, in der auch die Arbeit The Virgin of the Immaculate Conception with Saint Mark and Saint Sebastian von The Master of Grossgmain zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 176.000,00 (€ 255.454,15) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 150.000,00 – 250.000,00 angegeben worden. Andere Arbeiten von The Master of Grossgmain konnten bereits höhere Auktionspreise erzielen, so wurde im Juli 2014 die Arbeit The Virgin of the Immaculate Conception with Saints Mark and Sebastian für GBP 242.500,00 (€ 305.868,75) versteigert.
