The work A triptych: central panel: The Holy Family with Frederick III, Holy Roman Emperor as Melchior offering gold to the Christ Child; left wing: Balthasar offering myrrh; right wing: Maximilian I, Holy Roman Emperor, as Caspar offering incense; outer panels by The Master of Frankfurt was sold in the Old Masters Day Sale auction at Christies in London in July 2017. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 100,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 106,250.00 (€ 118,558.68). Admittedly, works by The Master of Frankfurt have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Allegorie der Liebe. in March 2013 with an auction result of CHF 744,500.00 (€ 612,109.59).

Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 100.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 106.250,00 (€ 118.558,68) einen neuen Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von The Master of Frankfurt auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Allegorie der Liebe. im März 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von CHF 744.500,00 (€ 612.109,59).
