It achieved a price of GBP 1,920.00 (€ 2,825.41), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 28%. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Tadeusz Ajdukiewicz achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Road to Bizerte, Tunisia in April 2007 with an auction result of USD 150,000.00 (€ 109,809.66).

Die Arbeit A rest in the desert von Tadeusz Ajdukiewicz wurde im Mai 2007 in der Auktion Nineteenth Century European Art Including Russian Pictures bei Christies in London versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von GBP 1.920,00 (€ 2.825,41) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 28%. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Tadeusz Ajdukiewicz erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Road to Bizerte, Tunisia im April 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 150.000,00 (€ 109.809,66).
