Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Scarlet Glory upon Midnight Blooms by Teng Nee Cheong was sold in the Asian 20th Century Art (Day Sale) Including a Selection of Japanese Woodblock Prints from Private Collections auction at Christies in Hong Kong in November 2018. The price achieved of HKD 250,000.00 (€ 28,216.90) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 200,000.00 – 300,000.00. Other works by Teng Nee Cheong have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in November 2015 the work Beauty Even Gods Find Ravishing was auctioned for HKD 400,000.00 (€ 48,854.38).
