Auction result misses estimated price range
In April 2016 a collector was able to acquire the work A Warrior'S Bouquet by Teng Nee Cheong for HKD 37,500.00 (€ 4,224.94). This price was achieved in the auction Modern and Contemporary Southeast Asian Art at Sothebys in Hong Kong and was even below the estimate range of HKD 40,000.00 – 60,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Teng Nee Cheong achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Beauty Even Gods Find Ravishing in November 2015 with an auction result of HKD 400,000.00 (€ 48,854.38).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im April 2016 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit A Warrior'S Bouquet von Teng Nee Cheong für HKD 37.500,00 (€ 4.224,94) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Modern and Contemporary Southeast Asian Art bei Sothebys in Hong Kong erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 40.000,00 – 60.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Teng Nee Cheong erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Beauty Even Gods Find Ravishing im November 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 400.000,00 (€ 48.854,38).
