In August 2021 Bonhams in Los Angeles held the auction Modern Native American ArtFeaturing the Wendy and Les Fisher Collection of Canadian Inuit Sculpture, which included the work A Teddy Weahkee Figure by Teddy Weahkee. The »bidding war« ended at USD 2,295.00 (€ 1,944.92), 53% above the upper estimate. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Teddy Weahkee; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot A Teddy Weahkee Figure sold at auction in August 2021 with the realized price of USD 2,422.50 (€ 2,052.97).
