Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Tania Marmolejo achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in Hong Kong in April last year. In the Contemporary Day Auction auction, the work The Stranger sold for HKD 441,000.00 (€ 53,320.11) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 220,000.00. Admittedly, works by Tania Marmolejo have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work A Surprise Conclusion in April this year with an auction result of HKD 456,000.00 (€ 465,665.22).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Tania Marmolejo erzielte im April letzten Jahres bei Sothebys in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Contemporary Day Auction wurde die Arbeit The Stranger für HKD 441.000,00 (€ 53.320,11) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 220.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Tania Marmolejo auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit A Surprise Conclusion im April diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 456.000,00 (€ 465.665,22).
