This artwork by Tang Yun achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Cologne in May this year. In the Fine Chinese Modern and Contemporary Ink Paintings auction, the work Lotus Pond sold for HKD 88,200.00 (€ 10,571.75) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 50,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Tang Yun achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Various Subjects in April 2013 with an auction result of HKD 2,760,000.00 (€ 270,173.15).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 76 % übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Tang Yun erzielte im Mai diesen Jahres bei Christies in Köln einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Fine Chinese Modern and Contemporary Ink Paintings wurde die Arbeit Lotus Pond für HKD 88.200,00 (€ 10.571,75) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 50.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Tang Yun erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Various Subjects im April 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 2.760.000,00 (€ 270.173,15).
