Artwork auctioned at three times the upper estimate price
When the work Lotus And Bird by Tang Yun was auctioned at China Guardian in October last year, the result exceeded expectations many times over. The upper estimate was set at a - in retrospect quite modest - HKD 20,000.00 but the actual price achieved was more than three times as high at HKD 60,000.00 (€ 7,688.75). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Tang Yun achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Various Subjects in April 2013 with an auction result of HKD 2,760,000.00 (€ 270,173.15).
Kunstwerk zum Dreifachen des oberen Schätzpreises versteigert
Als die Arbeit Lotus And Bird von Tang Yun im Oktober letzten Jahres bei China Guardian versteigert wurde, übertraf das Ergebnis die Erwartungen um ein Vielfaches. Der obere Schätzpreis war mit – rückwirkend betrachtet recht bescheidenen – HKD 20.000,00 angesetzt, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis hingegen war mit HKD 60.000,00 (€ 7.688,75) mehr als dreimal so hoch. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Tang Yun erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Various Subjects im April 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 2.760.000,00 (€ 270.173,15).
